Book Recommendation

Taking care of your hair is a very important job that you owe it to yourself to take some time and make it happen. I know that looking good ‘from head to toes’ is not just a cliche that ‘other people’ use. We ALL want to be beautiful starting from the top of our heads down to our little toes!

And it really is not that difficult!

I know it does take some time, effort, and consistency…and it can be done. Fortunately, there are books on the market to help us on our hair journey. They can provide answers to our questions and provide little tips that will help us along the way.

Here is another good book to feast your eyes on as you embark or maybe as you are already on your natural black hair journey.

There is a simple six-step process described in this book which helps you understand things you need to do in order to gain healthy long hair as well as things you should not do.  She tells her story about her hair when she started her hair journey and her motivation as she progressed. It is really heart-warming to hear another person speak so candidly about themselves, especially in the hope of helping others with her story.

Who says black natural hair cannot achieve great lengths?

Knowledge is power is what this book teaches. The more you know the more you grow!

To help ensure healthy hair growth, you need to:

  • be consistent with your hair care practices
  • minimize the use of heat appliances
  • eat a healthy diet
  • practice protective styling options occasionally
  • be gentle with your hair, especially using any type of hair tools
  • be careful of hair products – start practice reading the labels
